Inter face Chievo on Sunday in their next Serie A fixture. The black and blues of Milan are continuing to run rampant in the league this season after defeating Cagliari 3-1 in their last game.
Inter remain two points off league leaders Napoli and will hope to maintain the chase and continue their unbeaten league run.
Here’s how Luciano Spalletti could lineup his side on Sunday…
Samir Handanovic will keep his place in goal.
Brazilian defender Miranda picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Cagliari and so will be suspended for the game on Sunday. Andrea Ranocchia could be handed a rare start.
Spalletti could decide to keep the remaining defensive positions the same from the victory last weekend. Milan Skriniar, Davide Santon, and Danilo D’Ambrosio could all keep their places.
Inter have conceded just ten goals from 14 league games this season – the second lowest in the division.
Roberto Gagliardini is also unavailable on Sunday due to suspension so Marcelo Brozovic could take his place. The Croatian scored within two minutes of coming the substitutes’ bench in Inter’s last match.
Matias Vecino could be an injury doubt for Sunday’s game but could also be passed fit in time to start. Antonio Candreva, Borja Valero, and Ivan Perisic could keep their starting places.
The joint highest scorer in Serie A this season, Mauro Icardi, will be first choice to start again up front on Sunday.
The Argentine has 15 goals from 14 league games this season, which makes up more than half of Inter’s entire goal tally for the season.
Icardi will surely look to continue to impress in Italy as he has quickly become one of the hottest strikers in Europe right now.
