Inter’s Serie A title challenge has derailed alarmingly in recent weeks, with Luciano Spalletti’s side now 11 points behind leaders Napoli.
Now without a win in the league in six games, Inter travel to Ferrara to face SPAL, who are currently placed 18th and in dire need of a victory.
Here’s how Inter could shape up as they look to gain ground on those above them on Sunday.
The Slovenia international is Inter’s first choice goalie and will start here.
Davide Santon’s blunder saw Inter concede to Roma in midweek action, with I Nerazzurri only managing to claw back an equaliser in the 86th minute through Matias Vecino.
The Italian could be dropped in favour of Danilo D’Ambrosio, while Milan Skriniar and Miranda will continue in central defence in Sunday’s early kick-off.
Roberto Gagliardini was largely ineffective against Roma so Marcelo Brozovic, who came on as a substitute and assisted Vecino’s leveller, could play in behind striker Mauro Icardi.
Borja Valero will play alongside Vecino, with Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva providing width on the flanks and support for Argentina international Icardi.
Icardi has been one of Europe’s best goalscorers this season, finding the net on 18 occasions in Serie A, but the 24-year-old has struggled for form in recent weeks.
With just two goals in eight appearances, Icardi will hope to get his side back to winning ways with a few strikes at the Stadio Paolo Mazza.
