Internazionale host Bologna on Sunday looking to end a run of eight games without a win in Serie A. Despite Inter’s struggles, manager Luciano Spalletti has resisted the temptation to ring the changes in recent fixtures.
Here is the, relatively familiar, side Spalletti could select on Sunday.
Inter’s ever present goalkeeper should continue that run on Sunday.
Milan Skriniar is one of five Inter players to have been ever present this season, and his stock seems to rise with every performance. This is something perhaps helped by the presence of the experienced Joao Miranda in the centre of defence.
One position where Spalletti has rotated this season is right back, with Joao Cancelo and Dalbert Henrique the two largely sharing responsibility.
Borja Valero, Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva have all featured in every Serie A game between them.
With Mauro Icardi expected to be absent through injury, the pressure of finding the net for Inter could fall on Ivan Perisic, who is second to Icardi in Inter’s scoring charts with seven league goals this season.
In the absence of Icardi, the Inter line will likely be led by Eder, who did so in the draw with Crotone last weekend.
The Italian did find the net in that 1-1 draw, it was just his second goal this season in what was his first start of the league campaign having previously come off the bench on 17 occasions.
