Arturo Vidal has landed in Milan after agreeing his exit from Barcelona, and will have his medical with Inter on Monday morning.
The Chile international flew out today and arrived at the Linate Airport, where he was greeted by media and Nerazzurri supporters.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Barcelona eventually agreed to simply release Vidal for variable performance-related bonuses rather than the original €1m fee.
It is still a nominal sum considering Vidal’s contract expires in June 2021 and he is not part of new coach Rolando Maran’s plans.
The 33-year-old instead reunites with Antonio Conte, who has wanted to sign him since taking the Inter job a year ago.
They worked together at Juventus, Vidal scoring 34 goals with 19 assists in 111 appearances under Conte.
