Inter are reportedly ready to offer Antonio Conte a contract extension, even if his salary will automatically raise at the end of the season.
The Nerazzurri have an eight-point lead over second-placed Milan, but with a game in hand.
They are close to winning their first Serie A title since 2010, putting an end to Juventus’ domestic dominion.
The contract of the former Chelsea and Juventus boss expires in June 2022, but according to Gazzetta.it, the Nerazzurri are determined to offer their coach a contract extension.
Conte is on a €12m-a-year deal at Inter and according to the report his salary will automatically raise to €13.5m starting from the summer.
However, Inter will sit down with their coach to negotiate his contract extension at the end of the season.
The Nerazzurri will also discuss the future of ten players and try to sign a new forward.
Conte’s next target is to have a successful Champions League campaign given that Inter were eliminated in the group stages in the last two seasons.
