Slavia Praha have rejected Romelu Lukaku’s claim that he was racially abused during Inter’s 3-1 Champions League victory at
The Belgian was among the scorers in a crucial win for the Nerazzurri that keeps them in contention for a place in the Champions League knockout stages, with Lukaku also setting up both of Lautaro Martinez’s goals in the Czech Republic.
After the match, the striker revealed he had been the subject of racist chanting from the home crowd.

Following the triumph over Slavia, Lukaku called on UEFA to up their efforts to remove racism from football. He made a similar plea in September following abuse from supporters in a Serie A clash at Cagliari.
In response to accusations from the former Manchester United hitman, Slavia released a club statement on Twitter, saying: “
“We have analysed the available shots again and nothing confirms Lukaku’s allegation. Just as we apologised for the behaviour of individuals, it would be appropriate for Lukaku to apologise for his words.”
Italian club Brescia recently came out in defence of owner Massimo Cellino after he made discriminatory comments about star striker Mario Balotelli, who has been racially abused on multiple occasions since returning to his homeland.

Lukaku is due to feature on Sunday as Inter welcome SPAL to San Siro, with Antonio Conte’s men currently one point behind leaders Juventus at the Serie A summit.
