Arturo Vidal is reportedly stepping up the intensity of his training sessions, aiming to start for Inter against Milan on Sunday.
The massive Derby della Madonnina kicks off on Sunday at 14.00 GMT.
Vidal had been ruled out of the 3-1 victory against Lazio due to a knee problem and coach Antonio Conte had said he was not sure if the player would recover in time for the next fixture either.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Chile international is increasing the intensity of his solo training sessions.
It remains to be seen if he’ll be fit enough to start, but he should be part of the squad for the Scudetto showdown this weekend.
The alternatives to Vidal are Christian Eriksen or Roberto Gagliardini.
