Inter duo positive for COVID, Conte’s press conference cancelled

Inter’s Gaetano Oristanio and Eva Bartonova tested positive for COVID and Antonio Conte’s press conference has been cancelled.

Inter announced on Thursday directors Beppe Marotta, Alessandro Antonello and Piero Ausiolio have tested positive for COVID-19, but the whole team’s swab tests came back negative.

There are, however, two more cases COVID cases in the club.

Inter have announced Eva Bartonova, a member of their Women team, tested positive for COVID while on international duty with the Czech Republic.

“The player is following the health protocol procedures and is carrying out the period of isolation in the Czech Republic,” the club announced.

Gaetano Oristanio, a Nerazzurri Primavera team player, has also tested positive for COVID.

Both he and the team will “follow the procedures provided by the health protocol,” Inter announced.

According to Ansa, today’s press conference of Inter coach Antonio Conte has been cancelled amid COVID fears.

“After the club’s directors have tested positive, the team has been placed into fiduciary isolation, waiting to carry out new swab tests following those of yesterday that came back negative,” the report claims.
