Antonio Cassano believes Juventus, Inter and Milan should be ‘kicked out’ of Serie A as ‘football belongs to people’.
The Serie A trio are among the 12 clubs that announced the Super League on Sunday.
However, they insist they still want to participate in Serie A despite joining the new competition.
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin confirmed players who participate in the Super League would be banned from international competitions.
“It’s impossible to think of such a competition. Big clubs must understand that football belongs to people,” Cassano said during the Twitch program Bobo TV, hosted by former Serie A and Italy star Christian Vieri.
“Small teams are can’t be left aside, I would ask the FIGC to kick Inter, Milan and Juventus out of Serie A.
“Let them play their own league, and let’s see what happens. Gravina must stand against this. Twelve clubs can’t rule football.”
The FIGC President claimed today the Super League would “damage European football.”
